Instrument cluster mod, Sunfire but not the tach/turbo gauge pod (Page 1/1)

So a few years ago I managed to pick up two of the Turbo Sunbird instrument clusters. While the tach & turbo gauge is neat, my main focus was the OTHER gauge pod on it, which has Fuel, Coolant, Oil pressure, and Voltage.

The swap would have let me repurpose the GT two-pod cluster to show something like Transmission temp and... I don't know, whatever would be useful.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to hunt down the connectors for this cluster, so I can't go about doing this swap (which really sucks because at the 40th I met a guy who had done this swap, and was open to giving me all the wiring knowledge I would need to get it done).

Now I've seen the threads where people take this tach & boost gauge and swap it into a Fiero cluster. So I started wondering what the challenges would be for moving the other cluster over to the tach position in the Fiero cluster instead. I suspect wiring would still be the biggest obstacle. I don't know if I could solder an insulated spade connector with a wire lead from the back of the pod, and then work out the wiring with a spade plug? I have plenty of wire in various colors and stripes, so doing a wiring diagram that can be referenced later and have unique wiring won't be tough. I don't know how difficult it would be to route out the 8 (?) wires I would need to snake through.

I saw another instrument cluster swap here where a spade connector solution was used - maybe it was the Riviera cluster swap?

My soldering skills are okay, but I thought I would ask some of the more electronically inclined guys here what they thought and point out any other technical obstacles that I am not seeing yet. You know, before I dismantle a near-mint cluster. lol
