I have a 1986 SE v6 and I bought a new compressor as my old one leaked. How do I get out the hi presssure port and fan port from the back of the old one? I have removed the clips, but they do not look easy to remove without breaking them. Is there a source for new ones? Thanks.

Thanks, a ton of info. It looks like the new different ones are available on ebay. The funny things is I do not see the wires that are supposed to attach to them and the ports looked very dirty when I removed the compressor. (It was awhile ago, dont ask.)

Ugh, yeah... they're available... BUT, you have to buy it from another car.
If you can figure out which pressure / fan switch you need, you can then do a search for the part number for the switch you just bought, on Rock Auto, and then find the replacement pig-tail for it.
More or less... you're probably going to be buying a connector from a mid-90s Pontiac or Chevrolet. Rock Auto has pictures of the connectors (search for pressure switch or fan switch) once you've selected the car (like, 96 Grand Prix), and then make sure it matches up with the actual sensor you have.
It's a pain... but one of the only options.
The OTHER thing you can do, is do a search for the actual original sensors. There are a couple of them out there...
Let me see if I can find them on eBay. You'll need to buy them quick otherwise other people on the Fiero list will snap them up, hahaha...
Ok, here's the RED pressure Cut-Off Switch: https://www.ebay.com/itm/145127162326 Here's the WHITE Pressure Fan Switch: https://www.ebay.com/itm/295433243047

Once you have the c-clips removed, try spraying the switches with WD-40. Can also try covering the discharge port, pointing the compressor AWAY from you, and applying air pressure to the suction port to blow them out, like removing the piston from a brake caliper.

Well, neither one would budge, so I will be ordering new ones. I have had the car for 25 years and assume they are original, so not to bad for 38 years.
I see that the Fiero store sells the hi - pressure one.

For what it's worth, if you order the two from the links I just posted above, you'll have the originals and your stock wiring harness will plug right into it without having to change anything at all. The ones in that link are NOS...
