There is another thread where I asked about experiences but now I have a specific question about the extra coolant pipe. I have found a pump here in Sweden that has the metal impeller, good. The pump also has the extra coolant pipe which is not needed on the 88 tough.
Can I just plug it if it's not possible to screw it out and replace it with my old plug? I guess that a piece of hose and a metal plug and hose clamps should do?

The pipe should thread out and the plug from your existing pump should thread right in.
