I know some people here have done an F23 swap. I’m in the middle of one, I have the transmission, but I haven’t cracked it open yet. When I shift gears using the little selector, it seems notchy—not sure if that is normal or not.
I am trying to find replacements synchros, just in case. Im looking for places that make them custom, places that have extra lying around. eBay has absolutely nothing, and when I look up F23 it just gives me Honda stuff.
I know there are transmissions without synchros but they aren’t good for dailying…if I can’t find replacement synchros, would it still be driveable if they are bad? I’m fine with needing to shift slower I just want the car to drive.
But if anyone here knows how to get synchros or who to contact, let me know. The only parts that I see for these at all are overseas.

Hello! I had Muncie's in my Fiero and then did the swap to the F23 and like you I found the F23 notchy compared to the Muncies. I took mine apart to install a LSD and the synchros were good. To me, its just the nature of this type of transmission. I did use Synchromesh equivalent and that helps a bit. Good luck with your endeavor.
