I was wondering if someone could school me on Intrax rear springs. (for the Fiero) The Intrax p/n on the springs is 66-002 / Rear 263 I’ve certainly heard of Intrax but both of my Fiero’s have Eibach’s so I’m a little unfamiliar of this brand. Eibach’s are 1.5 inch drop as I remember. What drop are these Intrax? Are they progressive rate springs like Eibachs? Are they still on business? According to Google, there is only one Intrax and they’re in the Netherlands. (and they only make springs for european cars. Anyone out there use/ have both? Your opinions on the performance difference between the two? Thanks, Kit

There was a discussion about the springs a few years ago. Randye has these on his car. He says to be careful because the Intrax springs are indeed progressive rate and the Eibachs are linear rate.
Intrax was in Costa Mesa California but I believe they are long gone. The Intrax springs should lower the car 1.8" in the front and 1.7" in the rear.

Ok, thank you for the info. 😀 On a different note, I thought the Eibach’s were progressive? Anyways, just to confirm, i went to the FieroStore website to double check the specs (and to see what they’re selling for these days) and I was surprised to see that they no longer sell them. I think Eibach's Pro series are progressive....and after looking, the kit for the Fiero is indeed the pro kit so yes, they are progressive too.....in the Pro series.

Imsa: thanks for confirming that Eibach’s are progressive. Vintage-Nut: thanks for all the thread/links! I didn’t know this same question came up many times. After reading all the attached threads, it seems the consensus is that Intrax springs lower the car more (up to 2” reported by some) than Eibach’s or ST. Also, they tend to be cheaper in price. (which is of course a moot point now since they’re not around anymore) Just in case some don’t know, Intrax springs are easily identified by their purple color. (Eibach’s are always black - correct me if I’m wrong) Lastly, one person said that ST branded springs are the same product as Eibach. Thanks everyone! Eibach can be red or black.

Eibach’s can be red? Ok, I stand corrected. After all, you’re the guru. 😀 Although, all the ones I’ve ever seen are black with the Eibach logo in gloss white lettering? Maybe the earlier ones were red? Kit
