If you are actually looking to sell. Put it around 4k and go from there. Not trying to be a turd. Just being realistic. Its beat to hell, the dash swap and wiring is marginal at best, your value here is in the engine only.
Good Luck to you friend |

Chuck, I know this sounds like I’m piling on but Dukesterpro is right. You’re asking way too much for this in its current condition, even with the engine swap. Take it from a fellow North Carolinian. A paint job alone to make it presentable will be close to what you are asking for the car. Add a couple of grand to sort out the interior and the electrical and it becomes pretty uneconomical at $8000.
At $4000, you may be able to move it. Someone with time may take it on to finish it to a standard that would do it proud and it would likely save a Fiero from the crusher.
Good luck, Mate.

While it is definitely a little rough around the edges and needs some work I don't think 8k is crazy. Go price an Amida dash. Looks like a great project for someone.

I wish the person good luck who purchased this Fiero but the way I see it the cost to put everything right will exceed the cost that the OP is asking. Stripping, sanding and repainting alone will be a huge job and that alone could cost you $8,000. Then try to figure out where all the loose wires go, fix the dash, clean up detail the engine compartment and find out if the swap was done correctly and tuned properly. I would not touch this job with a 10 foot pole. . ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. Txopie didn't prep any of his cars correctly before spraying some junk paint so yes, they will have to be sanded down to the base before respraying which will be expensive. By the way, all of the areas with paint damage were done by Txopie's dogs chewing on the car. The dogs chewed the paint off of all 3 of his cars before he sold them.

I ended up getting $7200.00 for the car, not as much as I wanted but I am happy with the deal. I did have a mechanic check the car out before the buyer picked it up. The only thing he found was it had a misfire and probably needed spark plug wires and will eventually need new brake pads. The new owner flew in and drove it from here in Greensboro, NC to Gatlinburg, TN to Orlando, FL. He said it drove fine, no major issues. I was very upfront with the new owner about the car. He knew about the paint and body issues. I gave him a link to the build thread.

For $7200 you did very well! As for the misfire; a common problem is that the mounting bracket for the ignition module and coil pack is not grounded properly.
