Looking for a Fiero trailer hitch in New Jersey. I was hoping for Snapperhead, however he hasn't answered his messages in over a year.

I have a snapper head new in the box in Chicago but I have no interest in shipping it. Not sure if you are ever out this way.

Thank you. However, Walmart is cheaper. And the FS shipping is $$

Just for reference the Snapperhead hitch installs so that the placement of the ball carrier is behind the license plate and hidden. The Fiero Store and the generic class I hitches have the ball carrier under the rear fascia. I believe that these generic hitches bolt to the cradle so you would not want to tow more than a small utility or motorcycle trailer with them but on long trips that space is great to have. The problem with the generic hitch may be that it makes cradle removal more difficult. On my convertible project I will go with a tow hitch and a motorcycle trailer. I fabricate and weld will try to replicate the hidden Snapperhead design but it will b a while before I get to it. . ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. If you ever have the desire to ship that thing I will take it! You going to Carlisle by chance?

I have one in NC that I would sell. It has been slightly modified to fit 3800 exhaust though. I'm not sure if you'd be interested. Shipping probably wouldn't make it worth it.

You just brought out an important point. For those that have the 3800SC swap the std trailer hitch would surely hit the exhaust. This is what makes the Snapperhead hitch that installs behind the fascia desirable. IIRC, that hitch was made of 2" x 2" square steel tubing attaches to the fascia mounts (not the cradle) and sold for $200 + shipping. Not cheap. . Light duty but probably very adequate for a motorcycle trailer (loaded wt) low tongue weight and best for engine swap cars. If a Carlisle attendee has one of these installed and can answer questions I'll get that info. Does anyone here have an picture of the snapperhead trailer hitch? Shouldn't be that hard to duplicate using parts of the universal hitch and by fabricating a few brackets.
