My father suggested this site for finding people who like fieros and know some knowledge about them. I want to look into how much a fiero is gonna cost me? I have seen it range from 6k-25k, it hurts if I'm gonna have to pay that much for my dream car. As well as where I should look to get one for a decent price? I'm looking for a fiero V6 between 85-87.

You've come to the right place. In today's market, the Fiero's that sell for $800 to $1,200 are fixer-uppers. You'll have some work to do before they are perfect. However the higher priced one's can be a gamble because regardless of visual condition, the car still can have the original 40 year old parts which will need replacing.
Here's a $1,000 car and it's a 1988 which is a very desirable year. https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/080118.html[This message has been edited by IMSA GT (edited 02-11-2023).]

I recognize that last name. Please give your father our best wishes. Good luck with your search, and welcome to the madness!
The Formula posted above might be a good start, but it's gonna be a good bit of work. You could do lots worse. (I'm kind of partial to 88s, but that's what my spare parts and skill sets are geared toward. YMMV.)

As a relatively new owner of a 84 and the much desired 88GT.
Get a 4cyl, 1985 or 1986. Manual. No Rust.
Everything beyond that can be fixed. But my 6cyl is a goddamn nightmare.
Just my two cents

More trouble than your duke?
I have had (and still have) both the 2.8 and 2.5 Fiero engines. I would take the V6 over the 4-banger every time. Much smoother, much more responsive.[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 02-14-2023).]

If you're looking for something that has already been modified (but still a V6 - a 3800 swap), BluDrm (Blue Dream) is up for sale. It was originally TXOpie's car, but he had a set of circumstances happen where his Fieros were sitting for a while, and he felt he should sell them to stop them from rotting.
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum3/HTML/000140.html < info on it.
If you have Facebook (I don't), it's listed for sale on the marketplace there, if you look in North Carolina you should find it. The guy who owns it is on here, when he told me he was selling it I asked if he was going to post here, he said he hasn't yet.
Blue Dream has been heavily modified, and does have a few quirks that would need to be chased down, so it's not quite turnkey, but has some nice parts done in it, and could be back up to par with some patience. I understand there is/was an electrical issue, and a few things are loose with the interior swap. I'm sure the marketplace post will have the details, and hopefully it'll be in your price range if you're interested.

Yes, he owes us all money! Just kidding. Buddy's been a long-time member of this forum and has helped countless people with their Fiero issues.

Send me a private message and I can put you in contact with the president of the kansas city fiero owners group. It is likely that he could help you locate something in the area. My collection is in south carolina or I would probably be able to come up with something.
Also, please let Buddy know I said hi.------------------ That Todd Guy
