So folks! There are scammers infiltrating this site. I've always had good experiences buying and selling items here so I guess I sorta trusted the folks here.
I was looking for an item and was sent a message from Henry94 saying someone else had the part with the email address Chrisd6488@AOL.com
So I contacted them they sent me pictures of the item and cost to ship.
I used Venmo and sent $145 so not a bunch but still I dont want anyone else getting taken.
SO BE AWARE.

I can confirm he is a scammer. I checked his private messages and he had some kind of script (on his end) running auto sending private messages to people searching for specific parts. He has been banned from the site so he will not be able to make new victims.

I had a scam just like that on the firebird nation forum. Couldn’t even find the guys name on the site…..somehow made it right to the pm section. The wording was a give away….wrote like yoda..

You got off easy and it could of been a lot worse. A word to the wise. Think of it in degrees. One "45" is better than one "90".

Never used venmo for payments, but imagine even as much as I hate paypal would at least you can use a CC and dispute with paypal or the CC company if you don't get the item. Not sure if Venmo has a dispute process.
