Absolutely worth it. I have them on both of my 88GTs.
It should be noted, the bolt used in the adjustment slot has to have the "teeth" washer. Without the correct bolt, the belt with still squeal. Simply because the bolt is slipping on the bracket.
For one of my 88GTs, I tried a fiero bolt used for the 4 deck-lid mounting bolts on the hinges to deck-lid, as it has gripping teeth on the washer. That bolt was perfect for me, and the belt hasn't made and squealing noise ever with Rodneys idler pulley.
The original adjusting slot bolt is no longer available from GM. But there is a handful of those deck-lid bolts in great shape around that can correct this problem.

How does Rodney's kit compare to the Dodgerunner kit? Seems like the same price but Dodgerunner's comes with a new bracket as well.

Rodney's is certainly easier to install. Just two bolts. And if for any reason, you need to switch back to the stock configuration (for example, if you lose a belt) you can just re-install the original (shorter) belt and run it just like how it came from the factory.
With that said, I am currently bypassing Rodney's pulley due to a squeak it has developed in recent years.
