WTB: Dome Light Assembly for 40th (Page 1/2)
Matthew_Fiero JUL 06, 11:05 AM
Hi Everyone!

Excited to go to the 40th! I was cleaning up the Fiero and getting her ready for the looooong drive and I might have left the dome light on too long and it appears as if the middle button no longer works. I opened up the button assembly and the little switch inside is partially melted. Oops....

Does anyone have an extra dark grey dome light assembly they could sell and bring to the 40th?

Thank you!
Matthew

I just packed one away, let me see what condition it's in and get back to you...

Found it -- it's untested and missing lenses, but clean. Will bring it to the 40th.

Hi Jon!

Thank you so much for looking. It's the right colour but it looks like it's missing the middle button? That's the broken piece on mine. Perhaps this is a different style than the one I'm trying to replace.

I really appreciate your effort though...

Apologies, I missed that line and guess I've never seen a three-button variant of the dome assembly (other than the Performance Sound option). Hopefully someone comes through for you.

Later years (86 and up?) didn't have the middle button. It just worked in parallel with the dimmer wheel switch. Made it easy to leave the lights on and kill your battery.
Otherwise, I believe they are all interchangeable.

I've done this already this week...

Bump: Still looking for a dark grey dome light assembly with the 3 buttons.

It looks like the switch inside melted. It must have been when I left the light on cleaning the car.

Thank you!

I have one identical to the one that is posted in the previous post. It is the one on the right side in the posted pix.
