I have one in my Mera that I installed several years ago. It works great but I had to bend the sending unit mount to keep the float from hitting the plastic baffle. The Fiero store is aware of this problem, hope they have fixed it by now.

Is your sending unit rusted out or is the resistor portion bad ? If the resistor is bad you can remove one from a standard Chevy unit. They use the same one, plus it’s 0-90 ohms..
Thank you Larry for your message. I will make sure to check the new floater as you mentioned. I ordered the sending unit yesterday and it will arrive in the next couple of days. Hopefully it will function properly.
Phat Max, Thank you for the information about the Chevy Sending Unit. The guage stays past Full. I connected that wire to ground when ignition turned to ACC and the guage went past Empty. So I decided to replace the sending unit and new pump since that unit will be taken out. I have not dropped the tank yet to see if the existing sending unit has rust.
