I need a V6 tach. Not something off ebay, one that actually came from a car. May buy entire cluster if that's all you'll sell.

Yeah but I've bought 2 and it hasn't solved my problem. My mechanic friend says at this point its the little motor on the tach dial or something wrong with my tach signal. Right now its probably easier/cheaper for me to swap the entire tach than mess with the other theory which seems to indicate my icm is bad? Car has a 3800SC so it doesn't have a tach filter or something.

86-88, not the horizontal looking one from 85.

You might have mentioned the engine swap in your original post. 3800sc guys should be able to help.

Different Vehicle / Similar Issue

My '92 Honda Speedometer had issues, I found tiny pins and their contacts from the PCB to the motor was the problem.

By cleaning these pins/contacts solved the issue.

I don't know if this will fix your tach, but these 'tiny' contacts in my speedometer was the problem...

Yeah I kept pressing on the board and it makes good contact with the pins. My problem is either heavy throttle or high rpm makes my tach go to 0. That and my tach is inaccurate at higher rpm, I adjusted the screw on the board so idle is correct but it reads way high otherwise. I've tried 3 tach boards. Makes me wonder if the icm is bad on the 3800sc. I'm using the analog tach signal from it. The digital signal in the pcm is accurate, is there a kit/writeup on how to wire my tach up with that?
