Need a set of functioning horns for a 1988 GT. I checked my parts catalog to determine whether all years and models are the same and could not find them listed. I suspect that they are common to all years/models.
If you have a set that you would like to sell, please bench test them before responding so you are certain they are functional. I also prefer that they not be rusted as they are going on a CA car that is quite rust free underneath.
Please respond with condition, price, and pics, if possible to: KernFischer@gmail.com.
Thank You in advance for any help you may provide.[This message has been edited by Kern (edited 12-16-2023).]

88's only had (1) single horn from the factory. Where did you get your information from. It would be wise to acquire a factory service manual for the 1988 Fiero. If it shows 2 horns, it's also wrong.

88 Fieros have the weakest horns I have ever heard on any car. They barely qualify as a 'beep'. Many years ago there were a lot of discussions about which horn could swapped in from other vehicles to provide a bit more authoritative honk. One choice that was popular and used by many is the still available double horn from the De Lorean. See here: https://store.delorean.com/...t-high-low-note.html

Spoon, Thank you for the clarification regarding one horn. I have the factory parts and service manuals and had not done enough research. I had only found the horn in front of the left front wheel and assumed there was another on the right side.
Thank you also to the person who mentioned that the 1988 horn was weak. This points me to a couple of options. The first would be to adapt a pair from a Corvair, which are quite loud and which I can probably find in the Corvair community. The other option is a pair of the Hella air horns that are driven by a small on-demand air compressor. I had similar horns on a previous car and they have an unusual note and are very loud.
