⚠️Warning ⚠️ Scammer alert: 76kingking (Page 1/1)
Cliff Pennock AUG 13, 08:41 PM
Yes, we have another scammer. His user name is 76kingking and he sent a whole bunch of people here on the forum a private message claiming he knows someone who just so happens to have the part you are looking for.

Needless to say you should not send him (or the guy he refers you to) your money.

Thanks for the warning. I received one of those messages. Interestingly, it referenced a Mall post I vaguely recall making (WTB -- Your Fabrication Services) but I was not able to locate that posting via search for the exact Title, or even just the word 'Fabrication' ... how the scammer found it is a mystery to me

Also got a PM from that username....asking me if I was still looking for an item.....interestingly....one that I was never looking for in the first place.

Deleted the message.

HAGO!

I was going through my log files and apparently this was a more modern scammer. He used a bot mining pages from The Mall, but he was also mining them from the archives.

I also received this scam message From this so called KingKing member, I knew it was a scam right away as he just joined and was very general in his description. As a rule I only deal with members of this forum that have bought, sold and been here a while. This scammer guy is a jerk and I hope that he is caught convicted and sent to prison where he belongs

Do these people spend time in jail anywhere today?? In New Jersey?? In California, you can purloin up to $950 of merchandise at a time, you can't be stopped, and if the DA bothers to charge you, it would only be a misdemeanor. Result? No jail time, an increase in shop-lifting -- no one seems to know why. -- and numerous retail stores have gone out of business. Now, I don't know if this would be / is applied to cyber 'crime' here, but I'd bet dollars to donuts the odds would be high.
