looking for an 87-88 timing cover. pre 87 will not work thats the old style.

1988 was a different engine.it has a balance shaft.it could be the same cover though.

Guys I know my fieros. Pre 87 not the same timing. Cover. 87-88 are the same. Rock auto sold me a 87 but it’s a pre 87. [This message has been edited by jjd2296 (edited 11-16-2024).]

The Dukes had a balance shaft, and oil filter in the pan, the v6 did not get that.

its the same cover for 87-88 on the 2.8 the balanced shaft has nothing to do with it. The 87-88 timing chain cover was changed to accommodate the new oil pan design for 87-88
