I have a brand new pair of Sage side scoops that I came across with my grandson while doing a shop reorganization after my recent stroke. They are still in the original shipping carton they came in from the Fiero Warehouse. The carton is 24"x30"x8" and we opened it and removed the side scoops for picture taking purposes only and I'd like to offer them for sale to the members on Pennock's before offering them on eBay or Facebook. I am taking BEST OFFERS on these starting at $400 plus shipping, and PayPal Fees. These are very rare and next to impossible to find in this condition. Please contact me directly with your BEST OFFER. Thank you.

Nice to hear from you Larry, especially after hearing the bad news of your recent stroke... My best of your sale AND I'm happy you're still in Fiero game, rock on!

Larry, my best to you, prayer, vibes, wishes.
My Fiero is 110% stock by preference, yet I crave most of the body mods, engine mods, and other mods PFF members make visible.
I would like side scoops. If I bought some I think I would like the ones that Aus Fiero used to make, Stage Two I think.
Yours are very nice. Made by Sage, our PFF member ? If I happen to buy them, I would open up the 'scoops' on the passenger side.

Sage is a member here, and if they are his, they are quality.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Bob....much appreciated.
Yes, those are mine, I'm at least 99.9% positive...I would say 110%, as I'm sure they are, but this is the "net"...and just about anything one can imagine is not only possible...but probable....especially with the advent of "AI"!
I'm guessing the customer did the cutting of the scoop openings on the passenger side panel, as it doesn't look like it was done the way I do it, and in addition, if I'm going to cut them out...I generally finish the job. Other than that, I can't really speak to how it was cut out, or why the drivers side panel is not done at all. Just wanted to point out, I don't think I cut the openings you see. Not saying there's anything "wrong" with what was done, only that I don't believe I did it.
I've made more than a few of those particular panels, (ribbed IMSA), while I was still in operation, and those must be from quite a while ago, as in the more recent ones I did, (like anything from the last 5-8 years or so), I generally laminated one of my business cards onto the backside of the panels.
So just verifying that I'm relatively certain, I made those panels, and that I always considered that particular style, (the ribbed), sort of "European" looking, while the open style more American or "hot rod" looking.
Trivia: I actually made the ribbed panel plugs and molds first, after finding just the ribbed portion among the stuff we, (Doug Kinney of Fierowarehouse and I), had from Jim Sutter's operation, IRM that Doug bought out in the early 2000's. Not complete panels, just the ribbed section in sort of a "square". Took them and grafted them into a set of stock quarter panels, created the plugs and took the molds from the plugs. Then my son, Anthony, ( Reality on Pennocks), asked if I could make them without the ribs....hmmmm...yea, so for a while I made some "plugs" that fit into the recesses in the ribbed molds to eliminate the separations, and made "open" IMSA panels that way. Then I took a set out doing it that way, and turned it into a plug and made the molds to produce the open style IMSA panels....like I said....just a little "trivia".

These are definitely SAGE scoops and in fact they even came to me in a Fiero Warehouse shipping carton. I did not touch them, mount them or cut them in anyway. All I did was to remove them from the carton, clean them up (dirty and dusty as hell) and take the pix you see. I showed them around to other Fiero people that were also familiar with Sage's products, and they all agreed they were indeed made by him many, many years ago. I probably should have taken a pix of the carton they came to me in as it may have clarified the authenticity of these scoops. These scoops were recently sold by me and shipped to the new owner and therefore they are no longer available. I would remove this post from here if I knew how. Thanks to everyone who was interested in them and to all of you out there Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Just mark as "SOLD".... LOL
Possible that Doug started cutting the scoop openings out, as waaay back when I first started making these, Doug was really my only customer....i.e., he would give me an "order list"...I would make the parts on it, and he and I would meet up and he'd take the parts and ship those that were already sold, and hold on to the "spares", so it's possible this set was one of those sets, and he decided to cut out the scoop openings....just a thought.
At any rate, glad they are going to end up on somebody's ride finally!
HAGO!

Sorry I forgot to mark these sold. I do not know how to do that on this sold so that the post can be removed. Thanks.

Larry, just hit "Edit" on your first post and you can mark them as sold, to keep people reading the whole thread. Hit enter on your keyboard twice and then put you curser back to the top and type "sold".[This message has been edited by cliffw (edited 01-20-2025).]
