I finally got around implementing a much better search engine for PFF. It took me a few days of programming but it was well worth it (IMO anyway). The new search can do boolean searches (much like the old one), and - and this is new - can also do phrase searching. Results can be sorted by either date or relevance - a much requested feature. For an overview of its features, go here.

I like the new search. But can you fix the links in the memberlist, where you can search for "all post by user". or add a search by username option? [This message has been edited by cancerkazoo (edited 07-04-2005).]

Looks good thus far Cliff. I actually had to use it today and found what I was looking for in less than 2 pages. Much better than before.

Cliff, as always, you are such a class act! Thanks for improvering the search function. It seems to be faster and better than the old ones. Great job as always.

I like it! The old search was sometimes less than satisfactory.

Thank you Cliff! It is a definite (and welcome) improvement from the old. Jen

Thanks Cliff! It seems like a huge improvement over the last search engine.

Works Great. Won't this hurt MinnGreenGT's reputation of being able to find any thread?
