GREAT example. This last part:
I know someday you'll have a beautiful life I know you'll be a star In somebody else's sky But why Why Why can't it be Oh can't it be mine? This situation can be BRUTAL.[This message has been edited by TheDigitalAlchemist (edited 08-25-2022).]

This one has a very subtle escalation. The different aspects come together and assemble slowly. then ebb away and then they all come back

It's a time investment, but If you have the time, it's worth it, imo.

I suppose this one counts. And even if it doesn't.... Beatles - Abbey Road medley
Edit - This is from a re-release of Abbey Road. It's substantially different from (and a smidge milder than) the original. But most people know the original well, anyway. So I'll just leave this one.[This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 08-25-2022).]

Digging into the vault for this one, but with a slightly newer twist. If you're a Roy Orbison fan, you might not have previously heard this version. It's Roy's original vocals (recorded over 60 years ago!) blended with a modern orchestral arrangement. Give it a listen!
