Like sand through an hourglass.....another USDOJ doc thanks to the FOIA
Revealed: Identity of top FBI official who leaked secret information to media
quote | His identity is contained in a 21-page report obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. The report reveals that investigators for Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz determined that Bryan Paarmann, 53, the deputy assistant director of the FBI’s international operations division from 2016 to 2017, “improperly disclosed court-sealed and law enforcement sensitive information to the media” in violation of FBI rules.
The incident is one Horowitz included as part of what his June 2018 report called the FBI’s “culture of unauthorized media contacts.” A one-page summary of the investigation was released last May. |

Maybe the "premiere law enforcement agency" needs some of this:

Last Friday was the deadline for the FBI to present to the court their sworn written statement referred to in the second to last paragraph of the document that I posted at the top of this page.
Some of you will be pleased to hear that the "deep state" is alive and well.
FISA court selects former Obama admin lawyer, left-wing blogger to oversee FBI's surveillance reforms
quote | The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) has stunned court-watchers by selecting David Kris -- a former Obama administration lawyer who has appeared on "The Rachel Maddow Show" and written extensively in support of the FBI's surveillance practices on the left-wing blog Lawfare -- to oversee the FBI's implementation of reforms in the wake of a damning Department of Justice inspector general report last year. |
|
'Ridiculous choice': Obama lawyer David Kris picked to oversee FISA reform oversight
quote | David Kris, a former assistant attorney general with the DOJ’s national security division during the Obama administration, is a controversial choice, having spent most of President Trump’s term defending the bureau’s decision-making, including its use of British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s salacious and unverified dossier to obtain surveillance warrants against former Trump campaign associate Carter Page. Kris also defended the FISA Court itself from accusations it hadn’t done its due diligence to ensure the bureau’s investigation was conducted properly. |
|
Frustrating, to say the least. But, now we have additional insight into why the court approved all of the warrants requested by the FBI.[This message has been edited by williegoat (edited 01-13-2020).]

We have something called an SIU. Special investigations Unit. They are supposed to oversee the cops, investigate cop shootings OT brutality, misconduct, eat.
It's staffed with execution-cops, cop wanna-bes, and cop sympathisers and apologists.
You can guess how that works out.

The plot thickens.....
Some interesting stuff here: James Comey focus of FBI leak investigation, report says
quote | The new review, which the Times downplayed as a possibly politically motivated probe, reportedly concerned a Russian intelligence document "claiming a tacit understanding between the Clinton campaign and the [Obama] Justice Department over the inquiry into whether she intentionally revealed classified information through her use of a private email server," as the Post described it in May 2017.
Dutch intelligence accessed the document on Russian computers and provided it to the FBI. Included in the document was a discussion between Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., then the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, and Leonard Benardo, who worked with the George Soros-founded group Open Society Foundations.
Schultz told Benardo in the document that then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch would ensure Clinton was not prosecuted in the email probe.

And on opinion piece from the WSJ: The Comey Coverup Unravels
quote | In a curious report on Thursday evening, the New York Times carefully averts its eyes from everything that’s interesting. Even Adam Schiff has acknowledged that James Comey’s actions in 2016 may represent the most important and significant Russian influence on the election.

They are slowly and steadily getting closer to Clinton and Obama.

I want to know why the former UN Ambassador Samantha Power, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, was 'unmasking' at such a rapid pace in the final months of the Obama administration that she averaged more than one request for every working day in 2016 – and even sought information in the days leading up to President Trump’s inauguration.
Requests to identify Americans whose names surfaced in foreign intelligence reporting, known as unmasking, exceeded 260 last year. One source indicated this occurred in the final days of the Obama White House.

You will hear that this latest Comey investigation is about leaks and political retribution. It is not. It is about what is in those documents. They lead through Loretta Lynch to Obama and Clinton, and a cover up. I hinted at this in post #11 of this thread by linking to a thread from shortly after Comey surreptitiously dismissed Clinton's transgressions.
