FISA Court Confirms Two Carter Page Surveillance Applications ‘Not Valid’

quote
The order revealed that the government found two of the surveillance application renewals to be “not valid” based on “the material misstatements and omission” used by the FBI, which was found by the Justice Department to have “insufficient predication to establish probable cause to believe that Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power.

Imagine that.

Interesting: https://www.hsgac.senate.go...%20investigation.pdf

quote

We have reviewed the classified report of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) with regard to the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation, and we are deeply concerned about certain information that remains classified.

Specifically, we are concerned that certain sections of the public version of the report are misleading because they are contradicted by relevant and probative classified information redacted in four footnotes. This classified information is significant not only because it contradicts key statements in a section of the report, but also because it provides insight essential for an accurate evaluation of the entire investigation.

Johnson and Grassley are asking Barr to declassify some information which would clarify the findings of the investigation. They believe that the American people deserve to know the truth.

Folks, I know it is a slow trickle, but the waters of truth are flowing.

Biggest threat to this country isn't so much the leadership.
That IS an issue, but , this is a bigger one.

The left hate anything the right stands for, and the right hates everything the left stand for. not talking about those in office, I'm talking we the people.
So, people follow whatever their side does just because they know it pisses off the other side. If it make the country better or your local area better (local government issues) don't matter anymore, just that you are sticking it to the other side.
This mindset is a bigger threat to this country and anything else and will be our down fall.
Sadly we are all guilty of this. some more than others.

Willie, responding to a comment from another thread here, because it's more applicable here. Just to caveat, I want to make it clear I'm totally on your side on this... and no one should stop talking about what's going on... but I've genuinely lost any faith that anything will ever happen.

Even though the general public is completely unaware, the Democratic leadership is in panic. They know that if they don't regain power, their day of reckoning will come.

Willie, I'm sorry. For the past 12 years, all I've seen from people like Sean Hannity, all the talking heads, and all Republican supporters, is that "so and so" is going to see justice. In the past 12 years, I have yet to see a single individual, not a single individual that has faced public scrutiny on the Democrat side, actually see a single day of justice. Even Louis Lerner, who was proven guilty to have conspired and participated... to the point where even the IRS and DOJ were required to pay damages to these organizations. Louis didn't see a single day in jail. Not a single Democrat has seen a single day in jail. To that point, I've seen numerous Republicans, or Republican-leaning individuals serve jail time, and have their lives destroyed for things that in most cases aren't illegal, and that all the Democrats are guilty of.

I don't really have any point in writing this, because it's not like I'm suddenly going to vote Democrat, or renounce my citizenship. But I'm being a realist here. Like Fats said... Republicans / Conservatives / most Moderates, and even right-leaning Democrats all are the rule-followers. The Democrats exist on a completely different mindset and concept where by success and winning comes "at any cost" and "by any means."

Again, I've long given up voting for Democrats, and for the past couple of elections, I vote straight-ticket Republican now, and will continue to do so. But I'm just being honest about this. Nothing... I mean absolutely nothing will come of this. Bill Barr seems like a great guy, but not a single thing will happen. Every Democrat will get away with everything, as they always do.

I will not abandon hope. I have seen more progress against institutionalized corruption over the last few years than at any other time in my life. I will keep this thread alive to shine a light into a deep, dark hole in hopes that others will take the time to look in and see the truth.

We need more guys like Trey Gowdy because we have too many guys like James Comey.

The wheels are turning slowly and silently, and that is the way it should be.

Everyone needs to understand that that statement was not made by a reasonable man.

The biggest uphill battle we have is against the "mainstream media", the purveyors of propaganda. They are prestidigitators who have the public in awe as they saw lady liberty in half.

I have hopes that many of the conspirators in the Russian Hoax collusion will come to justice, because of who is on their case. Barr is not one to be trifled with. But, there are so many bad actors within the alphabet agencies that just going after the people involved in the Russian Hoax won't settle anything. The biggest problem we have is that congress has ceded their authority to the bureaucracy. In stead of congress being the only ones making laws we have bureaucrats making rules with the force of law. We can vote the congressmen out every two years if we want and senators out every 6 years. But, it is almost impossible to remove a bureaucrat. So these self righteous elitists remain in power no matter who we elect to congress and to the presidency. Louis Lerner is a prime example of how hard it is to get rid of these bureaucrats or to punish them for the crimes they commit.

Keeping Donald Trump in office is key to getting some of the worse most egregious abuses eliminated. But, it is going to take decades to right the ship of state. And we as a country don't have a clear consensus that this needs to be done. All we can do as citizens and voters is to do our best to put people into office with a commitment to cleaning up the mess. But, it takes an extraordinary individual to put their own self interests aside to better the country.

Louis Lerner didn't get charged, because everyone pretty much knows it was directed by President Obama. But that's the problem... the FBI refused to prosecute, because they knew.

I understand what you're saying. A Trump win or not... we will not see a single Democrat go to jail. I absolutely guarantee that to you, and we can go back to this post 4 years from now when we're talking about 2024.
