Put the chit-slinging on full court press. Post the retraction with much less exposure.

All part of the intended approach.

New York City Police at the Manhattan apartment building that is Rudy Giuliani's primary residence on April 28, 2021. Federal agents executed search warrants at Giuliani's apartment home and office and seized cell phones and computers. From Spectrum News, Bay News 9, Tampa. Link.

They went to seize all electronic devices of computer and cell phone type......except they refused to take the Hinter Biden hard drives when Rudy informed them what they were.

Yeah, sounds legit. A yway, Dershowitz is throwing support for Rudy. Says he'll lead a defense of some kind.

He would never say where it came from.
He had Hunter’s hard drive , now it's gone.
Lev Parnas says “We’re tight!”
“Talked in the Ukraine night”
No one knows.
That’s how it goes.

Goodbye, Rudy Giuliani.
Joe could hang a rap on you!
When you dredge the swamp, they’ll make you pay.
We’re all gonna miss you.

MSNBC's Ari Melber started his hour-long segment today with the retraction by NBC News of their previous reporting that Rudy Giuliani had received a defensive briefing from the FBI about Russian-orchestrated disinformation efforts and the Ukrainians that Giuliani was communicating with, or likely to be communicating with.

As I said previously, according to the retraction from NBC News, a defensive briefing for Rudy Giuliani was drawn up within the FBI, but then there was a decision within the FBI not to proceed with the next step of actually presenting the briefing to Rudy Giuliani. I read that as "not helpful" and not any kind of "good news" for Rudy Giuliani or anyone that likes him.

As far as the references to Hunter Biden's laptops or hard drives , and Giuliani having them in his home or office and offering them to the FBI, the FBI wasn't going to seize or accept anything from Giuliani that was beyond the scope of their search warrants. If Rudy Giuliani is indicted by SDNY and then becomes a cooperating witness, he will be asked to "cough up" any information that he has about any criminal activities for as far back in his life as he can remember. He could then start talking to SDNY about Hunter Biden and these (alleged) hard drives from Hunter Biden.

If Rudy Giuliani actually has solidly incriminating evidence about Hunter Biden, what's he been doing with it?

The "talking heads" that I follow (mostly on MSNBC) are of two minds about this. A smaller number are being cautious, and reminding the audience that these were just search warrants, and that as of the moment, there are no indictments against Rudy Giuliani. Presumably, the investigation that led to these search warrants has other targets in their cross-hairs, but not Giuliani himself.

But more of them are looking into their crystal balls and predicting that Giuliani is now on the very cusp of being indicted, at the very low end, for not registering as a foreign agent. A "FARA" violation. I wouldn't be surprised to see SDNY unwrapping a number of indictments against Giuliani, including indictments related to elections fraud and money laundering and/or federal tax evasion.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be all that surprised if this latest episode of the Giuliani story just kind of "died on the vine." No indictments of him whatsoever.

These are extraordinary times, and they started becoming extraordinary when "one" Donald John Trump became the leading Republican candidate for the Presidency of the United States during the first two quarters (if memory serves me) of 2016.

Really? Hmmm. How about when they were running a training exercise during 9-11-01? Not extraordinary? Not extraordinary when Nixon's election win was stolen for JFK? Not extraordinary when the Kennedy bros were killed?

The FBI had Hunter's laptop in Dec of 2019. When was the 1st fake impeachment going on? It's extraordinary that they didn't speak up about what the laptop exposed which would've been key.

You don't have to like Rudy to want an honest and legitimate government.

Meanwhile Hillary is guilty of a felony and the FBI wouldn't do anything about it.

"Federal prosecutor overseeing Rudy Giuliani probe stepping down"

quote
The chief of the public corruption unit at the Manhattan US Attorney's office, which is handling the criminal investigation of Rudy Giuliani, is stepping down at the end of the week to return to private practice, a person familiar with the matter tells CNN.

Edward Diskant, who has been a prosecutor at the office for nine years, is set to be replaced as public corruption chief by Rebekah Donaleski, one of the prosecutors who has been leading the Giuliani investigation, the person said.

A spokesman for the US Attorney's office declined to comment. . . .

Very brief report. That was about half of it.

Erica Orden for CNN; May 12, 2021.

I wonder if this federal prosecutor is going back to private practice in order to Diskant himself from the Giuliani probe. (Who wouldn't want to do that?)
