Things around here are getting weirder by the moment. With the cops standing by while people were assaulted going to the Trump rally, I knew I was on my own.

Same here.
Go to one of the pro-Palestine rallies, no problem. Go to a pro-freedom/anti-mask/anti-lockdown rally and they are showing up at your door with an $800 ticket next week.
It's not the criticizing, assembling or demonstrating itself, its who or what you are criticizing !
Funny thing is, in 2 years here I have NEVER seen a cop-car (apart from when the neighbors place burned) on the street. 3 months ago I put up a "No More Lockdowns" sign, and now we see them at least a few times a week. If they are trying to intimidate, its not working. If they are trying to waste gas, it is.

Flag & Cross, and the other websites run by Romulus Media are not the greatest sources of information. There is strong indication that it's being operated by the Internet Research Agency in St. Petersburg. That said, there's significant truth in almost every one of their articles, but of course it's meant to inflame rather than to fully inform. They haven't actually "legalized" shoplifting, they've just decriminalized it to a great extent. They reduced what would have otherwise been a state felony to the lowest possible crime designation you can get short of getting a written warning. Shoplifting $950 and below ends up being a Class III (C) Misdemeanor, which... if you were fully convicted... would be no more than 30 days in jail... but very regularly thrown out as a warning.
So they know they can get away with it...
Obviously, California is totally ****ed... I mean, God help it. I seriously wonder what's going through these people's minds (voters, politicians).
They are either one of three things:
- Purposely trying to destroy America - Really, really, really stupid - Completely insane
Maybe some combination of the three...

"San Francisco’s Shoplifting Surge"
quote | The mundane crime of shoplifting has spun out of control in San Francisco, forcing some chain stores to close. |

How about that? The effin' New York Times.

And some folks wonder why I no longer have any use whatsoever for "law" or "law enforcement" or "law system".
Time to burn it all down and start again. It's FUBAR.
