Apparently, this occured at a party in England and the shot was to the head of a very vocal activist.
So, the group of men didnt share her opinion? Just goes to show you that whatever opinion you hold will not dictate how you are treated. Similarly, telling yourself and others that you aren't racist means nothing to some people of a different race who are racist.

A prominent Black Lives Matter activist was shot by a group of four black men at a party in south London, police say.
Sasha Johnson is critically ill in hospital after being shot in the head at a property in Peckham on Sunday.
Met Commander Alison Heydari said the men had "entered the garden of the property and discharged a firearm".
Ms Johnson's party said she had previously received death threats but police have said there was "nothing to suggest" it was "a targeted attack".
Cdr Heydari added detectives were also "not aware of any reports of threats made against her prior to this incident".
Ms Johnson, 27, was left in a life-threatening condition following the shooting at the property in Consort Road at about 03:00 BST.
On Monday Ms Johnson's party, the Taking the Initiative Party (TTIP), said she had undergone an operation and remained in critical care.
Another man, who was thought to be in his 20s, also suffered a "superficial knife injury" during the attack.
He went to hospital but was discharged following treatment, the Met said.
Det Ch Insp Richard Leonard, who is leading the investigation, said about 30 guests had been at the party, which was being held in the back garden of the property.
He said the four attackers had been dressed in "dark clothing" and went into the garden "through a side entrance".
"In the ensuing melee a firearm has been discharged injuring Sasha," he said.
Det Ch Insp Leonard added: "Our investigation continues to make progress but we need the assistance of the community to find out who was responsible for this horrific attack."[This message has been edited by sourmash (edited 05-25-2021).]

They need to reword that article from "Four black men" to "Four black heroes"

It's interesting to me how apparently all the government figures associated with this case are so concerned about makings sure we all know it had nothing to do with BLM and that she wasn't targeted, and that they are convinced it was unrelated and she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. A huge party, four men responsible, and only one person is shot out of the entire group, and it so happens that she's a prominent figure head.
Tell me again why I should believe the state spokesperson?
It's totally out of the ordinary for the government to be making statements about what a case is or is not. The only other time I can think of is when they really, really, really want us to think a mass shooting isn't a terrorist act.

Just imagine if this happened here, I'm not sure what kind of spin they will put on this incident, besides trying to claim she was shot because she was "against racism"... but here there'd probably already be sactioned riots if it was here. Against who? Well no one most likley, probably in the name of "unity and peace" and of course "equity"... but near by buildings would pay the price either way.[This message has been edited by 2.5 (edited 05-26-2021).]
