re: Thumbs (Page 1/4)

Many Social Media sites/apps have Thumbs Ups and Downs... it would be nice if you could type a line or two explaining why you decided to "thumbs down" something.

I've seen a negative appear on a ten minute video in under a minute.

That's a really vigilant troll...

But if folks could actually state why they don't like something, that might actually benefit the person who posted the content...

I have noticed multiple times watching youtube on my phone that I have given a thumbs down without ever meaning to.

I do not like giving a thumbs up to a video, because then it saves it to my liked videos or something, which I do not want.

That is the only place I am active with the thumbs

I don't participate much. But if the topic evokes an immediate response I'd hit the button without viewing. Talk shows about Covid, I frequently turn off. Mask discussions are another turn off.

Anonymously down-rating something is a tool for cowards. It is childish, like keying someone's car. It accomplishes nothing.

That's why they have ratings for things, like Cliff's board has personal ratings, because it's the same as causing monetary damage through criminal vandalism. Yes, brilliant.

Everybody should get a trophy.

You know those people who flip you off because they violated your right of way? If someone keyed their car would they keep flipping people off? If their car gets keyed after they behave this way, I'm guessing they're gonna know who did it and why.

You are justifying criminal behavior using the same logic as BLM, antifa, etc. Are you sure you don't have a cousin in Boston?

In my opinion thats what commenting is for. The thumb is for those who dont take the time to write.

You just proposed BLM and Antifa have a moral justification for criminal and felonious criminal activity.

And no, I didn't justify it. What I said isnt easily discerned by the Republican nor Democrat voter.

Someone violating your right of way, then flipping you off, has committed at least one civil infraction. BLM ad Antifa are just terror groups attacking for no sane or valid reason reason. The 2 are similar, unlike your proposal.

Show me a neighborhood where thumbs are not opposed and I'll show you a backwards and uncivilized place.

It what world is giving a thumbs down on a YouTube video the same as keying someone's car?
In what world would you suggest keying someone's car would go over well on a car forum?
