"DC Tunnel History Site Flagged Suspicious Activity Before Capitol Insurrection"

quote
Web traffic to WashingtonTunnels(.com) was so unusually high starting on Jan. 1 that the site’s operator notified the FBI

The founder and administrator of an obscure website about underground infrastructure in Washington, D.C., saw a sudden and suspicious spike in traffic in the days before the U.S. Capitol insurrection.

The sharp increase in web visitors alarmed the site’s operator so much that he contacted the FBI. Elliot Carter, who operates the site, worried people were covertly seeking escape routes or entry points to the Capitol ahead of the electoral college count in January.

That concern about web traffic to WashingtonTunnels(.com) eventually made its way to leadership of U.S. Capitol Police, the [NBC] News4 I-Team has learned.

EXCERPT

quote
In a written statement to the [NBC] News4 I-Team, a US Capitol Police spokesman said: “A law enforcement source alerted U.S. Capitol Police leadership to the spike in website traffic regarding the maps. Ahead of January 6, the USCP knew Congress and the Capitol grounds were to be the focus of a large demonstration attracting various groups, including some encouraging violence. Based on this information, the Department enhanced its security posture. What the intelligence didn’t reveal was the large-scale demonstration would become a large-scale attack on the Capitol Building, as there was no specific, credible intelligence about such an attack.

NOPE

I just can't do it.

I just can't begin to even imagine what kind of gullible, childlike, mind believes that garbage.

OK, ...that's not completely true.

A Leftist with a gullible, childlike, mind believes that crap.

I suppose next we will be "treated" to a breathless New York Slimes expose' on how the "Dulles Toll Road detected a large increase in traffic" on the day of, and before, the Trump rally.

That's right boys and girls, everyone from platoons of pink-pussy-hatted-protestors to battalions of homeless bums go through those tunnels on a DAILY BASIS .

TOUR GUIDES IN DC SHOW PEOPLE WHERE THE TUNNELS ARE so that they can navigate to government buildings and tours during inclement weather....

....but we are supposed to believe that "Elliot The Web Sleuth" unearthed a dastardly interwebs plot being hatched by "dem dar righty wingers".

Morons

Has it EVER ONCE occurred to you that the stupid things that you think and believe are due to the stupid people and sources that you get your propaganda and opinions from?

By the way....THERE WAS NO "INSURRECTION"

I just read the previous message. The first, and what was (until now) the only Reply message. Like almost all of the other messages from that particular forum member, it's manic. It's an attempt to contaminate my Original Post with extraneous meanings and motivations that he wants to push onto it. Meanings and motivations that inhabit his mind, but not my mind.

The news report about this--the substance of my Original Post--leaves me wondering if a "ball was dropped" somewhere after this website administrator tipped the FBI to what he perceived as unusual and suspicious website traffic, on the evening of January 1. Was there a "ball that was dropped?"

That's all.

I didn't present or frame this as evidence to try to "narrate" some legally precise definition of Insurrection, with respect to the events of January 6.

No, you are shamelessly bumping the thread in a desperate cry for attention.

I still miss the old days (very old days) when Totally O/T was almost like a real-time chat room. Even when threads were check boxed as "Politics."
