"McCabe wins back full FBI pension after being fired under Trump"

quote
Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe will receive his missed pension payments worth about $200,000 and other benefits after he settled a lawsuit with the [U.S.] Department of Justice.

The settlement, released Thursday, reversed McCabe's March 2018 firing and allowed him to officially retire and receive benefits. The government will also pay for $500,000 of McCabe's legal fees . . .

Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe just a day [or "hours", according to MSNBC's reporting] before he was scheduled to retire with full benefits. . . .

According to MSNBC's coverage, McCabe "ran the table" with this settlement. He gets his full pension restored, including all the pension payouts that he had missed, an expunging of government records that removes any statement(s) that he was "fired" and changes his officially archived status to "retired", the $500,000 in legal fees, and last but not least (or maybe least) he will receive the FBI cufflinks that are customarily bestowed upon retiring FBI employees. Or some retiring FBI employees. (I don't have the details on that.)

Misleading thread title.

This political scumbag was dismissed from his position by his direct boss, USAG Jeff Sessions.
