Apple has been selling crap since 2016 when they decided to put form over function. Today they finally fixed most of the issues, albeit introducing a new one (the notch)
Magsafe connector is back (new version of course requiring everyone to buy new adapters)
Eliminates the touchbar, brings back function buttons
The computer has PORTS! Yo don't have to carry around half a dozen dongles! Actual PRO connectivity!
64GB of RAM
Massively improved processor speeds
16" starting price of $2500
I haven't been this pumped about ANY Apple product announcement in YEARS. There's finally a laptop I want to upgrade my 2015 Macbook Pro 15" from. Maybe they'll introduce a good iPhone next year too.

hate mac's for fixability
just try to get a pin out on a power supply from them for an iMac
they do not do that
almost every other maker will give you a wiring diagram of any appliance
NOT APPLE
BTW the power supply I needed was priced $150 from them vs a cheap intel unit $20 for way more power for way less for intel
I had the intel unit and just wanted the what color wire voltages for the iMac to test it but that is an APPLE SECRET
THEY MAKE/USE CONNECTORS NOBODY ELSE USES SO YOU CAN'T TEST STUFF
even gimmic a simple HD to be apple only
if it breaks they will stone wall any useful info and tell you their shop ONLY AT high cost or NOTHING

wife has the iMac
spinning HD died
so I wanted to replace with the new chipcard HD m2
APPLE want you to take the machine totally apart every last thing has to come out
just to get the M/B out to reach the backside of the M/B to install the card
my intel was open the case pop in the m2 card into the slot on the top side of the M/B
5 min only remove the box cover on the intel DONE
2 hours to disassemble the iMac THEN PUT IT ALL BACKIN FOR 2 MORE HOURS WASTED
WHY NO SNAP COVER LIKE OVER THE ram ???? so one can get to the m2 slot WITHOUT TOTAL DISASSEMBLY
AND APPLE HAS A APPLE ONLY CONNECTOR ON THE m2 CARD SO YOU HAVE TO BUY AN ADAPTER
OR PAY DOUBLE FOR THE APPLE CARD
BTW THE m2 CARD HD IS WAY BETTER IF PCIe THEN THE SATA TYPE ss H/D OR SATA CARD
THE LOAD TIMES ARE VERY VERY QUICK
THE m2 CARD HD IS THE BEST UP GRADE TO A COMPUTER THAT HAS THE CARD SLOT

Oh it's even worse on the newer ones, everything is soldered to the board, RAM, processor, SSD...
They do it on purpose. Everyone has complained, Apple doesn't care.

Glad to hear that they actually added some ports and such... and I do like the magsafe - and magnets in general. You might say I'm attracted to them.
I'm so tired, I actually thought that was funny.
