Fauci funded torture of puppies for The Science? So this is real? (Page 1/1)

And they even removed the vocal chords of the ones that were begging for mercy so that the workers could ignore the barbarity?

Bipartisan legislators demand answers from Fauci on 'cruel' puppy experiments
"Our investigators show that Fauci’s NIH division shipped part of a $375,800 grant to a lab in Tunisia to drug beagles and lock their heads in mesh cages filled with hungry sand flies so that the insects could eat them alive," White Coat Waste said.

Story at a glance:

A bipartisan letter demands answers from the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and President Biden's chief medical adviser.
House members, most of whom are Republicans, want Fauci to explain himself in response to allegations brought on by the White Coat Waste Project that involve drugging puppies.
Allegedly, 44 beagle puppies were used in a North Africa laboratory, and some of the dogs had their vocal cords removed so scientists could work without incessant barking.

The White Coat Waste Project, the nonprofit organization that first pointed out that U.S. taxpayers were being used to fund the controversial Wuhan Institute of Virology, have now turned its sights on Anthony Fauci on another animal-testing-related matter — infecting dozens of beagles with disease-causing parasites to test an experimental drug on them.

Animal testing. Pretty standard stuff, especially the "lets do it again just to make sure the results are consistent".

Yep, Flies will DEFINITELY feast upon little puppy faces. *checkmark*

All the sharks used for vaccines and horshoe crabs which are "harmlessly" (yeah, right) milked of half their blood and then dumped are just fine.

and all the little rodents and bunnies and little unwanted human bits... all that stuff is good for testin'!

If true, they need to put the same Scientific test on this lying dirt bag! If he was in a burning house with a puppy, I'm grabbing the puppy and throwing a gas can back into the house.

I am certainly NOT a fan of Phony Tony Fauci but this "poor little puppies" story is nonsense.

Legitimate live animal testing for pharmaceuticals and medical devices is essential.

Different animals have anatomical features that closely align with human enough to make them excellent test subjects for different purposes.

Pigs hearts are great for testing artificial human heart valves. Rabbits eyes are good for testing ophthalmic surgical techniques and devices.

The list goes on....

Animals are susceptible to many of the same health problems as humans – cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc.

•Having a shorter life cycle than humans, animal's can be studied easier through their life span and across generations, a critical element in understanding how a disease processes and how it interacts with a biological system.

The alternative is widespread testing on live humans in deference to animals which is obviously ridiculous.

I would also note that we routinely test with dead human bodies and even parts of dead bodies. Developing medical devices, especially orthopedic implants, I have personally worked on more human cadavers than I can remember.

The world gives Africans mosquito nets for a reason. They turn around and use them for wedding veils or sell them to tourists.

We need a drug for what can be prevented with the nets they're given?
