Revolvers (Page 1/3)

I'm learning about revolvers. This guy seems well informed.
Do you have an opinion on revolvers? Good, bad, ugly?
Have a favorite? Would you disagree with anything the guy in the video says?

...and a third guy's advice on timing.

I love revolvers - they never jam! My favorite is my Colt King Cobra .357. Practice with .38 ammo (cheaper), and carry tactical .357 ammo. .357 is my favorite caliber, too. To me it's the perfect balance between a .45 (knockdown power) and 9 mm (penetration).

I find them slightly annoying to use but understand they have benefits in preventing ingress of detritus and mayhaps retain heat better than a conventional door?

I have about four revolvers in various calibers (22 LR, 38 Special, and 38 Special/357). My favorite ones are actually my wife's. She has two Colt Pythons (Nickel plate and brushed stainless steel). I love the action and accuracy of these revolvers. They are very reliable but I much prefer a carry gun to have more capacity with respect to number of rounds. The real issue is reliability versus ammo capacity so there is something for everyone in the market.

I'll try to find a youtube bubba that mirrors my thoughts on revolvers so you can more easily comprehend them.

I'm with you on carry guns/capacity. I'm looking at revolvers as more of a deer hunt capable unit. Schooling myself on the Smith and Wesson 686 and Ruger GP100. Any of yours longer barrels? I've seen where the 357 isnt super different in fps between 4.2 and 6 inch barrel. But the longer sight radius would as usual likely help with accuracy.
