Funny thing about "conspiracy theories". When proven true, they aren't theories anymore, just conspiracies.

NEW - WaPo calls for shifting focus away from "cases" to measure the impact of the virus at a time when daily #COVID19 cases in the U.S. approach pre-Biden records.
Jennifer 'pro-voting' Rubin
@JRubinBlogger
As we recognize that covid-19 is not a deadly or even severe disease for the vast majority of responsible Americans, we can stop agonizing over “cases” and focus on those who are hospitalized or at risk of dying.

Of course now that Biden is phony elected cases aren't a problem.

Funny that it was considered "racist" to show ID to vote, but showing vax ID is needed to even enter a store or receive basic services, even medical care.

I suspect that just before the November 2022 mid-term elections, the Democrats and the media will claim "End of the Pandemic" and take credit for winning this war on Covid.

That looks like a "crock" to me. What MEM posted here at the very start. These are the words of that CDC press release:

quote
In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season.

Contrary to what the MEM-posted article implies, that CDC press release does not say that the earlier PCR tests were producing false Covid-positive test results when people were infected with a seasonal influenza virus.

What it expresses is a desire, on the part of the CDC, that test laboratories start using new PCR test kits that can detect either a Covid infection, or a seasonal influenza infection, or both, if both infections are present in the same patient.

That CDC press release is from July 21, 2021.

Opinion: Biden should stop pretending his resistance to a vax-to-fly [on domestic airlines] rule is about public health

The companies and their trade associations say checking vaccine cards would be onerous and logistically difficult and cause delays. But if small restaurants have figured out how to do it, big airlines — which already do so for international travelers — certainly can as well. TSA agents could glance at vaccine cards as they check IDs and boarding passes. Airports can set up stations right by security for unvaccinated passengers to get inoculated.

So much of life in covid America turns on facts people don’t want to talk about. To wit: What the CDC’s new guidance doesn’t tell people who get infected is that they should take another coronavirus test after five days of isolation before returning to social settings. The unfortunate reason this wasn’t included is because there are not enough tests available. That is another consequence of the Biden administration’s tendency to hope for the best and plan for the best — rather than preparing for the foreseeable contingencies caused by the delta and omicron variants.

Are vaccine mandates for domestic flights our ticket out of the pandemic?
