CDC admits covid numbers are falsely compiled. (Page 1/1)

Yeah, that's another conspiracy theory that people like me already knew was a conspiracy fact.

After December 31, 2021, the CDC will withdraw the emergency use authorization of the PCR test for COVID-19 testing. The CDC finally admitted the test does not differentiate between the flu and COVID virus.

"...CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. ..."

In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season.

Contrary to what the Gateway Pundit article and its title are trying to insinuate, that CDC press release does not say that the earlier PCR tests were producing false Covid-positive test results when people were infected with a seasonal influenza virus.

What it expresses is a desire, on the part of the CDC, that test laboratories start using new PCR test kits that can detect either a Covid infection, or a seasonal influenza infection, or both, if both infections are present in the same patient.

That CDC press release is from July 21, 2021.

Additionally:

"The PCR test is validated against many different coronaviruses and common respiratory viruses, including influenza, so that it would not give false-positive results." IOW, researchers subjected the test to many different samples to see if it would give the wrong result. It correctly identified COVID-19 out of all of the samples.

"Positive means the test found SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19
Negative means you likely don't have COVID-19 – but you may have influenza or another coronavirus. So you'd have to get a second test to see if it's something else"

In other words, the COVID test is not designed to determine any variation of the flu, it is specifically designed to ID COVID-19. Seriously. It also will not differentiate COVID from STDs, Mad Cow Disease, Werewolf Syndrome, Alien Hand Syndrome, computer virus, etc, etc. But it will test for COVID-19. Oh, it also will not indicate your blood alcohol level.

It works so well that the flu disappeared almost entirely.
It works so well that they are halting usage so they could detect influenza again.
It works so well that they over cycle the test to 40 plus times when 20 something is the accepted limit.
It works so well that they had to use this test on asymptomatic people who don't even know they are sick unless the test is over cycled and says they are

They're halting the test because it's faulty at what they use it for.
