Instagram Question (Page 1/1)
IMSA GT JAN 05, 09:27 PM
I know that when messaging someone who is online, there is a green dot on their icon to show that they are online but here's a question I can't answer. If there is a green dot on their icon and a green dot on the camera icon, are they currently on a video call or does the green dot on the camera mean that they are available for a video call?

You can't really trust that because folks can make themselves appear to be offline, also "Instagram delays 'like a couple of minutes up to 10 minutes' showing you online instead of being off"

asing the Internet, I see ' In Messenger, you may see two green dots when you click on someone's name.

The first green dot appears next to the user's profile picture, while the other appears next to the video icon.

If you see the green dot on Messenger next to the video icon, the person is free to video chat.

You will most likely see a green dot next to the video icon as long as you are connected to Facebook via Messenger. If you have given Facebook access to your camera, you will most likely see this dot whenever you are logged into Messenger.

Alternatively, if you have not given Facebook access to your camera, the green dot will only appear next to the person's profile picture."

Hmmm....I also see lots of boobs. Woa, who knew there were so many boobs out there...wait, that's a pic of our OT area. we are a buncha boobs? Who knew?

heh

TTYL! *hangs up the phone*

Take those dots with a grain of salt.

I'm not sure on instagram specifically, but with farcebook-marketplace so long as a tab is open to the page it shows as "online". I'll list something, walk away from the computer and do 50,000 other things, might not even be at the house....but the green dot says I am here.
