Isn't a mistress someone that you're cheating on your spouse with or something? Why would they feel the need to change that? It's bad anyway or ... I mean... I don't get it. Maybe they're upset that a mistress is a woman, and a guy could be cheating on his husband if it was a gay marriage? But lover is a totally different word. That's someone you're having sex with, that doesn't /also/ mean you're cheating on someone... so they're literally misrepresenting the word. Even more... did they just go through the dictionary and pick out words? Wild... I'll be disabling all that **** . I wonder if "birthing person" is a suggestion! Hahah...

Got the memo back when they started adding this stuff. That should be disabled by default, at the very least. whoops, can I still use that term?
A LOT of this stuff is the "camel gettin' into the tent" scenario.
There's a small group of people (can we still use THAT word?) that are trying to change words and phrases and their meanings... Can't handle the real world so they will build a cocoon around them, be it "safe" spaces or VR or a whatever. And then they can change their word to "prey".
saw a "prson" with a shirt that said gENDer - (end Gender) and boy, (can we still use that phrase?) were they trying to.... Eventually, they will end up getting squashed by something with muscles or teeth or they'll get wet or the sun will strike their skin and they'll shrivel up or die from a minor virus or die from lack of nutrients because they no longer eat anything or something.

I'm only surprise didn't do this Decades ago.
M$ sells Office and Word mainly to Schools, Big Business and Govrmnt and why many of them uses Volume Licensing setups to license Thousands to Millions of units.
Because Many Schools and most Businesses have Policies for anti "Harassment" and "Hate Speech" for 20 or more years that can get you Terminated on the spot often "With Cause" so you can't get UI after they fire you in many places.
Is part of why many companies have long ago locked desktop background and screen savers to approve items. Also why can't display pictures etc in office or cubes in many places too.
Because HR got many complaints and problems with many pictures/images even w/o adult themes.
Seen Whole Departments getting fired for adult theme e-mail way before the current "woke" fad.[This message has been edited by theogre (edited 01-16-2022).]
