Or they could just start paying people to give blood. (Page 1/1)

My blood type is a mystery to science and in high demand, but I'm not at all motivated to give it away for someone else to profit off of it.

Besides, much of the blood goes to gang banger shootings in major cities.

I need a very reasonable $200 per pint.
If they pay people a nominal amount there won't be a crisis.

Senators call on the FDA to lift restrictions on gay and bisexual men donating blood as nation faces 'crisis' due to falling donations

A group of 22 Senators is calling for the FDA and HHS to relax restrictions of gay and bisexual men from donating blood
Under current guidelines, MSM - men who have sex with other men - are not allowed to donate blood within three months of being sexually active
Guidelines were revised at the start of the pandemic, reducing the abstinence window from 12 months to three
The American Red Cross warns that the U.S. is currently suffering a 'blood crisis' with many hospitals and blood centers only having a one day supply on hand
There is mounting pressure on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to replace a rule that prevents some gay and bisexual men from donating blood which dates back to the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s.

With practically everything else being commercialized these days real, clean blood ought to be worth $$ to the donor.

It's quite clear you don't understand how Liberal Capitalism and Corporatism works.

Extracting the blood is a service, so you pay them a service fee, then a processing fee, an administration fee, and finally a disposal fee for finding somewhere to put that blood.

They dont pay you for servicing you.

Pretty sure most Americans have been able to sell their plasma for quite some time.

I've never sold blood but have donated somewhere north of 8 gallons over my life time.
I'm a universal donor.

Same here. But I need $200.

I stopped donating at 2 gallons, medication made me exempt from donating.
I can still donate for research but not for human use, so I don't donate anymore.

Do they bug you about donating? I used to get called all the time.

I'm going to start a blood collection company that doesn't allow blood to go to illegal aliens and gang bangers.

Blood should be worth $2000, so at $200 it can allow an $1800 tax credit to those who give it.

Well, it would be money better spent than paying people not to work, or paying peoples rent for them.
