Justice Harris? (Page 1/5)

Breyer is retiring.

It would meet Ol' Joe's criteria and get her out of the way.

Let's go Brandon!

Breyer's replacement is going to be a Liberal, we can hope for a moderate but, I think we all know that just ain't gonna happen.
So, believing the above, I think it's possible VP Harris could be considered (not that I think she's even remotely qualified) but, at least the President would have one less threat to himself and might be able to reduce his security detail.

Additionally, he'll probably ask that AOC step up to VP to satisfy his liberal base. Think about that for a minute.
Scares the hell out of me.

Edited: That does bring up an interesting issue though. The Senate advises, consents and approves SCOTUS jurist. With the current 50/50 split in the Senate, the VP casts a deciding vote. Is it even feasible that she could vote for herself? Hmm

Edit II: OMG, I just thought about another option, he could pick Hillary to be his VP. But, only if his wife has plenty of life insurance. We all know how folks associated with Hillary end up.

Put Harris on the court and have Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former mayor of Atlanta, as the new VP. She'd been talked about some as Biden's running mate.

I can already "see" it on the TV screen as the teaser or tagline for the story, as the news anchor is telling it:

I think it's also noteworthy that she was passed over due to the perceived notion that Harris was more qualified.
Now, there's a scary thought. How could anyone be less qualified...........

Trump already nominated 3 moderates. We see who they vote with.

I'm sure Biden will nominate a sane, constitutionally-grounded judge and not a rabidly "woke" loon... right??

Brandon made a campaign promise that he would appoint the first black woman justice to the court, so we shall see.

Hell, Grandpa Gropey could surprise everyone and nominate "Groveling Garland" for another try. That would be a hoot.

The fact remains that no matter what Leftist lunatic Brandon nominates still doesn't change the ideological makeup of the court.

Honestly, I don't think it will be Harris. He will choose someone with far less "history". He needs to get it done before the midterms. Otherwise things are far less certain.
