SITUATIONAL OVERVIEW
The current plan put forth by Mayor Watson of Ottawa is to starve out the convoy by cutting off all services. This includes punishing local business owners who have been forced to close once again at the capricious wishes of the Mayor. At a time when the Freedom Convoy is filling the downtown with visitors, the small businesses are becoming collateral damage.
The deprivation of services includes no Port-a-Potties, no food and no fuel. While not yet the subject of a human rights complaint, the Freedom Convoy believes that the forced withdrawal of basic human services such as food and fuel for warmth is a significant violation of the Charter of Rights.
The Freedom Convoy is exercising its rights to peaceful freedom of movement and peaceful assembly. The Freedom Convoy is also entitled to freedom of conscience and religion, which it has been doing in a peaceful manner.
Watched a press conference on CPAC this morning of the Ottawa Police Chief and his deputies.
His tone has changed a lot. Said that he now has help from all three levels of government plus national and international security services.(That's CSIS, CIA, NSA etc).
There has never been a protest this well funded and organized in Canadian history.
No more vehicles, food, water, fuel gets in
Busted a guy bringing in guns
Death threats on the Chief and others - convinced that was anti-protesters who want the truckers gone.
No more hotel rooms - any vacant room will be rented by the government. Police informed every hotel.
Only access to the site will be on foot.
More barricades & police on site. Counter protesters coming too. Says the situation is getting dangerous.

In a month when Europe is relaxing constraints, Canada appears to be doubling down. I'm sure the reason is because they can't give the appearance that the Freedom Convoy is successful.
If they keep it up there will probably be an emergence of Killdozer.[This message has been edited by sourmash (edited 02-04-2022).]

Naw, Canadians cant be bothered building killdozers.
More like a general strike.
Eff ya Turdeau, drive them yourself.
Then in a week or 2 when the shelves are empty and the whole country is starving in the coldest month of the year, with 10,000% inflation for what little CAN be had, it might be time to talk.
Whats he gonna do, MANDATE them back to work ????? BWAHAHAHAHA.[This message has been edited by MidEngineManiac (edited 02-04-2022).]

Well, I did hear that the authorities have now managed to open up one lane.
That's a good thing. It's going to get expensive when all those truck tow ins get added up.

I haven't seen any live steams yet, but todays plan is to hit all the provincial capitols. 1pm for Toronto last I heard.
LOTS of mini-convoys clogging stuff up all over. just about every town/city.
They have gotten into the construction business too

OK, today's live stream.
No tow trucks to be seen. I'm not really surprised because yesterday and Wed all the tow drivers they called "had covid' . Maybe they got the truckers to clear a lane as goodwill or something.

Sounds like the convoy's next stop should be the mayor's house. With literal pitchforks and torches.

Heard something simlilar to that myself. What was said is the tow companies don't want to piss off the trucking companies for future potential business so, they are staying clear of this. I guess the next alternative would be to call in the military with their towing capabilities. That could get interesting
