I used to do a lot of sprite work back in my game dev days. Used to draw, edit, and make sprites for fighting games and RPG's..
Been quite a few years since iv done anything new.

I am probably not doing what you are talking about; I have modified several pictures (Including just cleaning up) and then I have created a couple of "Paintings"...
Here is a pic of my CVX-20 Jet boat....Originally, the canvas top was laying across the engine cover, there was a towel on the driver's seat, and the rope ran over the side- I removed all of that and "installed" the back seat.
I was experimenting with "Paint" to see what I could do....Took a long time but came out ok....

Not mine, but you mean something like that? Cartoonish or real pictures reduced to pixels?
