The future was never promised to John Delorean, that's for sure.

He has been dead for 17 years and he didn't leave behind a very good reputation.

You'd think they would choose a better brand name.

oh, the fan base for anything named Delorean is not much less enthusiastic than Fiero addicts are for that name, maybe even a lot more so..

(evidntly tho, there are quite a few thousands of people with an uncle that each have a Delorean in storage somewhere..)

Came close to buying one once. Man, what a huge amount of issues with that car - electrical and engine-related. I LOVE the whole retro look and nostalgic tugs it has, but from what I've heard, you really need to "modernize" that car before its really "roadworthy" (lots more than what you would need to do to a Fiero) lots of door lock issues and such. Gremlins a-plenty...

Although I love 'em, I never seriously considered having one because of all the owners who said they kept getting the same old comments: "Where's the flux capacitor?"
I would get SO tired of that.

Seems no different than the "Those all catch on fire" to me. But I get it.
