Threads in The Trash Can (Page 1/2)
otakudude FEB 23, 12:37 AM
Did I miss something? How come so many threads in OT get shunted off to the Trash Can recently? I just read a few of them and nothing seems out of line.

Edit. I just saw the thread explaining it all. Since I don't know if it's possible for me to delete this thread, please simply ignore it.

Cliff made a new Forum topic: Politics & Religion

Main reason is the people who are triggered and therefore cry and complained to Cliff to have threads closed or users banned, seemed like it got a bit out of hand.

So putting it in a new Forum Topic, is more of a 'Warning Label' for those same people.

I would agree with that move. O/T was becoming over overwhelming political, so it crowed over the other threads or buried them. I like that it is in its own space. I'm not scarred nor triggered to venture into that territory.

Even after Cliff made the announcement some of the people discussing it in that thread intentionally created new political threads in the O/T.

Tone deaf? Intentionally slapping Cliff with a glove?
Nice. Make the guy have to move the very thing he said he wanted to stop dealing with.

For some reason, some of you (all of you) are unable to create new threads or reply to threads. Not sure why yet. Investigating.

What I do find annoying, is bumping a thread just so I move it to the new section. If there's a specific thread (that hasn't been responded to for quite a while) you'd liked to have moved, just send me a PM.

Oh, you're talking about creating them.in the TC. Gotcha.

Maybe some of the comments youre getting are people trying to reply to moved threads? You can't, unless you go to the forum it's located in.

A new forum section has been created, Politics and Religion, even though there were tools already in place to filter those topics from view in the O/T section.

Interesting that on a car forum, people don't know how to use tools.

Also interesting that there were a small but determined demographic of people that insisted on interjecting P into many threads that weren't about P or marked P.

On this car forum, people were/are fed up dealing with "tools".
