I used to answer , IF we are overpopulated, it is by irresponsible people, not people in general. But I really don't think we are overpopulated.

We've been told earth is overpopulated...

I got my own opinion. And it's not PC. We have too many of several people groups that can't sustain themselves. We're losing a valuable number of groups that easily sustain themselves but also give through charity to sustain groups that can't sustain themselves.

Not enough of the latter and too many.of the former.

Population is controlled by not having children. Through education and birth control we can still hump our little brains out. But abortion is not birth control its a last resort for some that do not use birth control or had unwanted sex (Rape) and have no other options. While I do believe there are medical reasons for an abortion, being careless is not one of them. If more people were responsible then perhaps the world would be a better place.

I would change that to "the population total is lowered by not having children", and add that at the same time the mean age is raised.

Raising the living standards of peasants in in just ONE of the following: India, China, Africa, South America will have a greater strain on resources and cause more climate destruction than all of America, Canada, Europe combined.

Raising it to a living standard on par with Europe Canada or America.

The UN says in 75 yrs the population of the planet will about 1/2 African because all other areas are slowing, except Africa.

I didnt suggest anything at all. But to the person I responded to , he should understand that you ain't seen nothing yet in regards to climate destruction.

It's getting pretty bad around here too. There are now 6 houses with about 14 people living within a 1 mile radius of me. Trees outnumber people by about a thousand to 1.
