There are so many great street performances out there.
Here is just one I bumped into today and thought it was nice. Combination of the kid, the song, which I hadn't heard, they way street performances mesmerize public as they are just passing by on their way somewhere.
Post one you like. I guarantee I'll find more.

About 10 years ago I went through a Bluegrass Banjo phase and really enjoyed listening to Dave Hum from the UK. He interpreted these classic Amercian folk tunes with such inventiveness that he built up a large following online. Sadly, I just discovered that he passed away shortly after I stopped listening to him. Here are two pieces, one on the street as was his primary venue, and one at home. If you like his music you can find more recordings on his YouTube Channel and his website, which his wife continues to operate per his wishes. I'm glad Dave's music will live on, widely available in the Digital Age. Enjoy

This guy is a great fiddler. I have posted his stuff before.
And of course, my favorite: Tuba Skinny!

A true "Street" musician. A homeless man stops to play a piano in front of a restaurant.

Tuba Skinny gets hassled by the fuzz:
quote | Tuba Skinny and other bands have not been able to play on Royal St. because the city has not closed it to traffic since 2019 (explanation in the comments). Several bands played on the street today (4-1-22) to protest. This lead to a confrontation with a New Orleans policeman (at 3:54)

I've watched a few of the street musician things and some are more scripted than spontaneous events. Brendan Kavanagh comes to mind.

Like most music gigs there would be at least a plan.
I like hearing all the great artists that haven't hit the "big time"
