| What to do with an old mirror. (Page 1/2) |

I had an old mirror 60" x 20" that was left by the previous owner, It weighs 27 lbs, they had it leaning against the wall on the lanal, was worried it would break.
I propped it up outside with a Free sign for three days with no takers.
Took a look on-line to see what mirrors this size go for, and I was shocked to see prices over $100.
I changed my mind and decided to mount it in my walk in closet. I was ready to take it to the dump.

I don't have mirrors in my house anymore. Mine "went bad", so I kept buying new ones (and immediately throwing them away) because they were all distorted. I looked fat and old. SO strange. Thought it might have been the lighting, so I changed ou the bulbs, then realized that there's also apparently something goin' on with my lighting, I can't read stuff due to the frequencies or the Luxes or candle powers or something. Also recently tossed out all my monitors and our TV. they were all blurry due to something electrical. maybe a virus in the wiring or something. Any new ones I tried, same result. Must have spread to the wifi, because every phone and tablet got infected by the fuzziness. Thinking of selling my house and just move into a van down by the river.
Speaking of river, I tried walking across it the other day, and both my legs went right in -
That river sure is wet. It's like totally filled with water!

The other day, a neighbor asked me what I would do with an old mirror.
I said "I would have to look into it."

Build a nice intricate frame for it, and use it as a focal point in the sauce sacrifice of tomatoes to the great flying spaghetti god.
Dont forget the colander helmet.

I think he means how you see yourself flipped left-to-right compared to how other people see you.

I think it makes more sense to say that it's ourselves that flip or reverse what we see, in terms of the horizontal axis or plane, when we look at the reflection from a mirror.

Our minds create the horizontal plane that is perpendicular to this "sagittal" or vertical plane that divides our bodies into our left side and our right side. This horizontal plane is not fixed in the space around us. It's within us and moves as we move. I guess it could be called "body" horizontal, to distinguish it from architectural horizontal (the floor in whatever room we're in) or geospatial horizontal (standing on level ground.)
