Monterey (Page 1/1)

I was watching a video of a Porsche 908 running at Monterey and the following video popped up as a suggestion.

Most of you would rather see the Porsche, so I will include that video as well, but the Monterey Pops video was such a cultural snapshot that I had to post it. The ‘60s had a huge influence on me (big surprise, huh?) and the film shows the faces of many top performers from that era. Within the first 30 seconds, the film shows Jimi Hendrix, Mike Bloomfield, Janis Joplin and Brian Jones. Three of those four were gone within the next four years and Bloomfield, a great inspiration of mine, passed in 1981 at the age of 37.

Great song by The Animals. I was only 11 years old in June of '67, but I certainly grew up from that time onwards with all the artists of that era. Great music, great memories.

The ads I'm seeing from the pff bot, Betty Brosmer, fond memories of my crush in the '60s.
