They're fixing to increase the % of ethanol in gasoline again.....
Jake_Dragon APR 13, 01:13 PM
I thought it was determined that it didn't help.
we are doomed.

As long as they keep making 100% gas I'll avoid ethanol in small engines and 2 cycle.

No doubt about that.

We have a separate can marked "non ethanol only". The store on the other side of the mountain has non ethanol 91. We buy that for all our two strokes.
My son does small engine repair on the side. We have seen the damage caused by ethanol many times.

We only use non ethanol fuel in our cars and small engines. The cars all have forced induction and get better mileage and I don't have any fuel system issues with lawn equipment. Alcohol is good in a glass, bottle or can, not in a gas tank.

You missed EPA etc wants to Ban all 2 cycle engines.
RichLo1 APR 18, 11:17 PM
That will only be for 87 octane that every non-classic (2002+) car is capable of running. there will still be non-ethanol 91 and 93 out there. and low enthanol 89, Just sayin.

edit, and the main reason for this change is to lower pump prices during the peak summer driving season.

They've been trying to push this crap for years. This is just a convenient excuse.
