Gas Buddy? (Page 1/3)
blackrams APR 13, 04:48 PM
My Spousal Unit (she's such a sweetie) got hold of my phone last night and downloaded an app called GasBuddy onto my phone, says it'll help me find cheaper fuel.

Since then, I'm getting emails about saving 25 cents per gallon on every gallon I purchase.
Now, I was born at night but, it wasn't last night.
What's the catch?

But, I'm not Mikey....................
If you don't get that, then you're simply too young to understand.

But Mikey "hates everything".

I've been using the PC version of GasBuddy for years. No login required... and no amazing offers.

Its probably a promotional gas card but you can only use it at that station.

If you buy gas at the same place all the time then it probably wouldn't be that bad of a deal.
I just found out how bad the place I have been going is raping me on credit card use. so now I will be using cash from now on.
If they had a gas card that didn't charge me service fees I would probably get one.

Possibly. I'm told that using any card over cash usually costs about a nickel per gallon more.

Ron,

I am seeing posted price differentials (cash versus credit) of around 10 cents per gallon in my local area and some other places within a few hundred miles.

Understood, this is one of things that I don't believe I have sufficient control over to make a big deal. When I need fuel, I keep an eye out for it but, stop for fuel when necessary.
Personally, I blame Biden. Don't give a damn what he says, IMHO, he's the Liar N Chief.

Well the year before Covid shut everything down I was paying $3:25 for premium in California. So they can't say its unfair because prices were low during lock down.
Always someone else fault.
