Nice job talking the passenger through the landing!

Just goes to prove that almost anyone can fly fixed wing.......................
I'll leave it at that.

Kudos to the ATC and the passenger/pilot. He stayed calm and did as instructed.

HEY !!!!

I'll have you know we trained long and hard to play with our peckers and drink beer !!!!

(Rams, It's a Cessna. Just dont touch anything, take your shoes off before you try to mash the peddles, and you will do just fine. One finger on top of the yoke, one on those trim wheels by your knee....otherwise DONT TOUCH IT )

I'll agree, that plane wasn't some multi-engine commercial aircraft. (A totally different situation.)
No insults intended but, been there, done that. We both know it's not all that hard. While not technically qualified, I have flown several from take off to landing and never had more than the owner/pilot advise me, he never touched the controls. Not to suggest I'm a qualified but.................

Kind of angled from the main topic but; I remember a neat movie I watched back in 1972...."Family Flight" about a family on a private plane that lands in the desert due to problems with the airplane- they are finally ready to take off and the father spins the prop (battery had died) and gets cut by the prop- the son then flys the plane and they end up landing on an aircraft carrier at sea. Rod Taylor played the father.

As he was making his final approach, he was heard saying "Hold my beer and watch this", .
