Elden Ring. Anyone here play? (Page 1/1)

Just curious if anyone else here is playing Elden Ring? I know we have a few gamers here..

Great game if you like the Dark Souls games.. But open world, and a bit more forgiving difficulty wise.

Anyway I've been making theme characters and builds for the game.. Check/try them out if you like..

She Hulk.

Saint Trina (a lore character from the game that you never actually see, so i made her, lol.)

Took me about 7 hours to get the faces looking good. The default ones in the game are horrible.

Nope, perhaps if its ever on sale.
7 hours? to make a face, that's excessive. Its your time, I am not judging you. But I don't get why character creating presets have to be so bad.
Guess the more time you sit on that screen the less time you are hammering on their servers.

So this is an MMORPG? I haven't even looked past the ads that pop up every now and then.
Last good game I played was RDR2 and mostly enjoyed just riding around.

I like single player.

Oh no.. Its a straight up single player game.. But you can summon two friends to play with you for some co-op.. Or to do duels. The way the multiplayer works is if you play in "online mode" you can place your, and see other players "summon signs".. You can touch their summon sign and summon them into your game to help you.. If you want.. You can play 100% solo if you want.

Its a SP game, just open world.. Give it a try man.. Its a tough challenge, especially the bosses, but is a really great game.

Yup, it is...

I'm not a dark souls enjoyer, I just can't get behind the combat. Skyrim is more my speed if i'm wanting a melee/magic game, but i tend toward the FPS genre. 1,400 hours in Rainbow Six: Siege could tell you that

Then another 500hrs in MW2019... i spend a lot of my free time this way...

A new hand touches the beacon.

Every now and then I will reinstall Skyrim and take a run at new mods on Nexus.
When they first started talking about Elden Ring I was interested but when I found out it was "Dark Souls" like I was a little disappointed.
Don't get me wrong they are nice games, I just never liked the combat and the role playing was a little thin.

I looked at some screen shots of character creation and wow I can see how you could spend a lot of time in there.
I always end up with a character that looks like Josh Brolin with tits, I appreciate games more that start out with a pleasing looking character.

Yeah think of Elden Ring as the mix of combat and controls like Dark Souls, but with the open world style of Skyrim.

Man i put untold number of hours into Skyrim.. My copy is loaded with mods.

Heard rumors of a remaster version of Oblivion coming sometime in the future.. That would be cool. I always liked Oblivion a little more than Skyrim.

Yeah i love FPS games too, not much into the military tactical shooters though.. Doom Eternal and similar balls too the walls non-stop action frag fests, lol.

Yeah the character creator has around 200 places of articulation you can manipulate just on the face alone. I dunno why i spend that much time working on faces. Its like drawing to me i guess (i draw and paint, and like to do pixel art and 3d modeling, ect) So i just like having characters that look nice and pretty. I'm weird. I often get asked by other players for my creation settings so they can have nice looking characters too so i make videos showing how.
