Twice in the last month, I was working on something, and said, "I sure could use a (certain tool) right now."

Then I remembered: Dad had one. He passed away a number of years ago, and when cleaning out Mom's house, we had to collect all his tools. I wound up with most of them, since I live across town. Digging around, there it was. Made the job easier. He did that a lot. So I said, "Thanks, Dad."

Remember to thank your Dad tomorrow. Whether he's still around or not.

Great idea. Mine's been gone for almost 20 yrs now but I am frequently reminded of the various things that he taught me. I also have some of his tools and one that goes back to my GG Grandfather in 1850.

He is been gone 7 years, and I still catch myself reaching for the phone when I find a really good movie he would like.
