The old Magnum PI; I thought it was a stupid show...."Good looking rich guy driving expensive Ferrari around Hawaii and getting all the girls" That is what they originally planned but Selleck came in and told them "People don't really want to watch that- back it off and make the guy kind of clumsy- he should make mistakes sometimes- and not always "get the girl"

I was sick for a couple of days and watched an episode- and then I was hooked. Would watch an episode on Saturdays and then go out for a drive in my Fiero....

I can't understand how anybody would think the (new) show could work without Selleck- he was what made the original work, very obviously....

My favorite show is Gilligan's Island (Has nothing to do with all of the mistakes I make) I like the sound of the first season intro...but they leave out Mary Ann and the Professor....The later version included them (At the bequest of Bob Denver (Gilligan) but it is a big polished production. Wish we could have the Wellingtons do it in the style of the first edition but with all seven castaways. (By the way, the Wellingtons (Folk rock group) also played "The Mosquitoes" rock band that visits the island (Although a star was added to the group)
